March-ing into Spring: Where We've Been
This month, we kicked off the spring season with a whole lot of new! - New events, new people and new places! Our Purple Truck visited The Broad museum in DTLA as well as Runyon Canyon in Hollywood, where we got to feed art-lovers and fuel weekend hikers! Additionally, we spent each weekend of this month at new spots around the city and took part in events packed with curious foodies, energetic athletes and beautiful vendors. Here are some of the highlights:
Saturday Smorgasburg at Santa Monica
As you may already know, Amazebowls takes part in Smorgasburg LA at the Arts District every Sunday alongside dozens of other local food and craft vendors. On March 11th, we participated in a pop-up event at the Santa Monica Pier hosted by Smorgasburg, where we had the chance to do what we love in a brand new atmosphere. We were set up in the heart of the pier where hundreds of tourists and local beach-goers stopped by to try our coconut bowls. Though it was a foggy day on the coast, there’s still no better place for an açai bowl than the beach!
Shout out to Casey & Lindsey from Miami, Florida for coming out to Santa Monica just to taste our bowls - we loved meeting and serving you!
Lululemon Athletica x LA Marathon
On Sunday, March 19th, over 20,000 athletes from all around the country and from abroad gathered in LA to take part in the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon. The runners started bright and early at Dodger Stadium and made their way through Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and West LA to finish at Santa Monica Pier.
At the 22 mile mark, Lululemon Athletica hosted a cheer station, where dozens of people gathered to show support for the runners in their final stretch of the marathon. We loved meeting all those who came out to participate at the cheer station and were proud to fuel the supporters with our snack-size Amazebowls.
The highlight of this event was witnessing the runners and supporters feed off each others' high energy and great vibes. Being surrounded by positive, supportive, and active people is what we love most about what we do! For more highlights from this event, check out this short video recap on our Instagram!
The CREAM Event
We wrapped up a month full of fun events with a big bang at The Cream on March 26th. This expo event which takes place once a year in Los Angeles was set at the stunning Cooper Design Space in downtown and is a curated showcase of the most innovative people and vendors working in weddings. We were honored to be selected as one of the top thirty industry purveyors who are this year's “cream of the crop."

The evening was filled with confetti, cocktails, couples and, of course, coconut bowls! Not only did we serve our classic coconuts to the five hundred attendees, we also introduced a brand new item - the Sangria Bowl!
Served in a young coconut and topped with freshly-made coconut whipped cream, the Sangria Bowl is a mix of our Amazebowl original blend and ~ Pinot Noir ~ This cocktail hour-inspired bowl was a huge hit throughout the evening and is one of many new items we're introducing this spring. We’re always on the lookout to try unique things and this sangria twist was a lot of fun to serve up! Thank you to The Cream for inviting us to be a part of such a unique and spectacularly designed event.
